Cruise . . . in Style
As part of Kawasaki's latest evolution of big bore V-Twin cruisers, the Vulcan 1700 Nomad shares the same all new 1700cc single overhead cam long stroke engine with the rest of the Vulcan 1700 line, but like the flagship Vulcan 1700 Voyager, it's tuned to deliver maximum torque and power at a slightly higher rpm to reflect its intention for the open road.
Like the previous Nomad model, the '09 model features hard saddlebags, passenger backrest and floorboards, large windscreen and fork mounted air deflectors. Unlike the previous model, there's now cruise control and Kawasaki's first fully electronic throttle valve (ETV) system.
Features and Benefits

| |

Electronic Throttle Valve System Kawasaki's first fully electronic throttle valve (ETV) system delivers smooth, natural engine response making the Vulcan 1700 Nomad a pleasure to ride on the open road..

Convenient Cruise Control Open highway cruising becomes even easier on the Voyager with convenient and easy to use cruise control controlled from the right handle.

Huge Saddlebags Designed for easy packing, these 38 litre hard, colour matched saddlebags swallow an amazing amount of long distance gear. Kept secure with a sturdy lock, the new top opening design keeps gear inside the bags when they're opened. The large frame mounted chrome saddlebag guards emphasize the cruiser image.
