QUARTER LITRE FLYER
After winning both Australian Dirt Bike and Dirt Action magazine's 2009 250 MX Shootouts, the all new KX250F receives a host of refinements and upgrades in 2010 to keep it ahead of the pack!
Amongst other changes, the 2010 KX250F boasts an all new slim rider interface with a natural riding position that makes it easier for racers to go faster for longer! Tuned for high peformance, the engine receives a new high-performance piston with bridge-boxed bottom (used for the first time in a mass produced machine).
The best riders in the world demand a motocrosser that not only boasts the finest engine, chassis and suspension package but one that is also dripping with beautiful factory style finishings. Kawasaki engineers realised this. Their meticulous attention to detail is evident with premium quality Renthal aluminium handlebars included as standard equipment along with black triple clamps, number plates, engine covers, hubs and wheels.
Factory style graphics and seat finish off the package and compliment the KX250F's stellar on-track performance.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
 |
BUILT FOR PERFORMANCE
The powerful 249cm3 liquid cooled 4 stroke engine is tuned for high performance, with the wide powerband extending way into the over rev. Used for the first time in a mass-production machine, a new high-performance piston with bridge-boxed bottom features the same design as our factory racers.

|
NEW IMPROVED SEAT
Firmer urathane helps the seat maintain its original shape longer. The new two tone colour scheme gives a more factory look.
| |
 |
SLIM RIDER INTERFACE
Bodywork components and seat design offer a slim, natural riding position that makes it easier for racers to go fast. Slimmer shroud design contributes to improved ergonomics.
| |
 |
WIDER THICKER RADIATORS
New thicker, wider radiators with more widely spaced cores/fins are stronger, offer better resistance to mud build up while maintaining cooling performance. Also lighter overall with reinforcing brackets unnecessary.
| |
 |
TITANIUM COATED SHOWA`S
Low-friction titanium coating (a class first) smoothes fork action. Revised settings result in a less forward-leaning posture while new damping settings and a revised steering stem offer improved action and increased absorbtion performance. Kashima Coat further reduces friction.
| |
 |
REVISED REAR SHOCK
Revised shock damping settings result in a reduced "kicking" tendency, facilitating corner entry. Dual compression adjustability offers a wide range of tuning options while Kashima Coat on the tank cylinder improves action.
| |
 |
FACTORY TRICK BITS
All new factory-style graphics, two-tone seat, black alumnite rims and black fork guards give the 2010 KX250F the looks to match its highly tuned performance. Factory-style Renthal handlebar and pad also comes standard to save weight.
| |
 |
LIGHTER HANDLING CHASSIS New steering stem and swingarm with revised cross-section offers lighter handling. Plus linkage mounts below the swingarm for more precise suspension tuning. Revised linkage ratios contribute to incresed rear wheel traction.
