Maximum Stand Up Performance
A direct descendant of the original JET SKI watercraft, the 800 SX-R benefits from over 30 years of vigorous development to make stand up riding easier for beginners and more exhilarating for the pros.
It produces 80 horsepower from a highly tuned 2 stroke Marine engine. Sits in the water at just 180 kgs. And provides unmatched handling performance thanks to its race proven FRP hull.
Beginners will love the SX-R for its user-friendly handling and easy starts while pros will love it for its up-rated engine performance and awesome, easier turning ability. The 800 SX-R = Maximum stand up performance, from racing to freestyle fun.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Bigger Engine The twin-cylinder, dual-carb engine has been bumped up from 741cc to 781cc for improved power and greater acceleration right across the rev range. Reshaped exhaust ports and revised port timing have also contributed to greater overall performance.
New Hull Design A completely new below-waterline design and approx. 75mm longer and 50mm wider than the 750SXi Pro, the new hull boasts greatly increased stability, making boarding and rough water riding much easier for beginners and experienced riders alike.
| |
Exceptional Turning Performance While the new hull design has increased stability, it has not been at the expense of the 800 SX-R’s exceptional cornering performance which easily matches the impressive SXi Pro but without the need for extreme lean angles.
Quicker Planing The combination of more engine power with an improved hull shape means the SX-R accelerates quicker, starts planing sooner and is very stable in rough water. Racers will love the quicker starts, while beginners will appreciate how easy it is to get up and going.
Larger Cockpit In addition to its aggressive new styling, the deck features a larger, wider floor area which makes the machine easier for new riders to master and gives experienced riders more flexibility and manoeuvrability.
| |
Higher Deck Fins Topped with impact absorbing rubber, the reshaped side deck fins are now higher, making it easier for riders to leverage their arms when boarding and giving experienced riders improved leg bracing while cornering.
Reduced Rider Fatigue The handle pole pivot has been raised roughly 30mm to alter the pole’s lean angle and effectively reduce forward/backward movement at handlebar level. This significantly reduces rider fatigue during extended riding.
Reshaped Engine Cover The reshaped engine cover not only looks awesome, it also offers improved access to the engine compartment, making it easier to install performance parts and to perform maintenance.
♦ Integrated floatation cells make the SX-R virtually impossible to sink ♦ A newly designed, full-circumference bumper gives the ski an aggressive new look and helps protect the hull ♦ An easily accessible bilge drain plug eases after-use draining ♦ The choke and fuel tap are within easy reach of operator ♦ Fuel tank capacity has increased from 15 to 18 litres and features an improved fuel cap ♦ Wrist lanyard automatically stops the engine when the operator falls overboard ♦ Redesigned top of handle pole is covered with thick polyethylene foam ♦ Oversized pistons are available to take the engine out to a full 797cc
