THE 2010 KX450F IS A BIKE BUILT FOR CHAMPIONS...
The second generation KX450F was a massive hit in 2009. Its smooth, easy to use, fuel injected engine and nimble handling helped put it at the top of several publications' 450cc MX shootouts.
For 2010 there are a number of performance enhancing updates to keep the KX450F at the front of the pack. Engine refinements increase high-rpm and over-rev performance, while chassis updates help make the 2010 KX450F even easier to ride fast.
Get on board the 2010 KX450F now, head to the track . . . and start winning!!
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
|
FUEL INJECTED POWER
- The fuel injected engine is compact and light. The factory-style forged piston has a revised profile with a shorter skirt, reinforced external ribs and the first mass-production use of a bridged-boxed bottom with fully-flushed internal bracing so it's lighter and stronger.
| |
|
ALL ALUMINIUM FRAME
- The slim aluminium perimeter frame is a lightweight construction composed of forged, extruded and cast parts. The result? A strong frame capable of podium achieving success.
| |
|
AWESOME SUSPENSION
- Revised fork spring rates and damping settings and the less rigid steering stem offer improved action and increased comfort. Diamond-Like Carbon coating reduces sliding friction for improved fork action, especially during cornering. Kashima Coat and high-precision machining further reduse friction.
| |
|
- BIG STOPPING POWER
Front and rear petal disc brakes provide strong, controlled stopping power along with excellent feedback and feel. Their petal-shape design helps reduce unsprung weight and keep the brake pads clean from mud and debris for more efficient braking performance.
|
SLIM RIDER INTERFACE
- Bodywork components and the new seat are designed to offer riders a slim, natural riding position making it even easier for racers to go fast. The slimmer shroud design and revised exhaust pipe line contributes to improved ergonomics.
| |
|
FACTORY LOOK SEAT
- Firmer urethane helps the seat maintain its original shape longer plus the new colour scheme looks like it's straight from the factory.
| |
-
|
- AGGRESSIVE STYLING
An aggressive new look is evident in the sleek new bodywork styling featuring one-piece dual injected, two-tone green and white plastic shrouds and side number plates. This new bodywork translates into less time hassling with backgrounds and graphics and more time collecting trophies.
| |
-
|
- GO FASTER FOR LONGER
The frame echoes the slim profile at the top, but widens at the lower end by the ankles to provide the rider with better feel and control. Completing the rider interface improvements are wider 50mm footpegs that offer sensational grip and a more comfortable platform.!

FACTORY INSPIRED TUNING
- Factory-inspired refinements contribute to increased high-rpm and over-rev performance. Used for the first time in a mass-production machine, a new high-perfromance piston with bridgeed-box bottom features the same design as our factory racers.

-
|
- NEW INI-TRAK REAR SUSPENSION
The 2010 KX450F features linkage mounts below the swingarm for even more precise suspension tuning. The revised linkage ratios also contribute to increased rear wheel traction.
